A cool Drive

The Finished Product!

After aproximately 1 1/2 years the project comes to completion. We had some unusally warm days for December (63) and were able to get the carpet laid. Once the carpet was done the resr just fell into place. A small set-back with the shifter boot, however, we were able to bounce back and create a new one with out much problem. A quick design session, some left over vinly and a mother who can run a sewing machine. We have worked hard and have a very noce machine to show for it. We stayed within budget (-20 K) The total numbers will need to be tallied. We can now sit back and relax, by putting the cover on her and putting her to bed for the winter.

Finishing touches, SIde Mirrors and Side Vents

Seats and Seatbelts.

Emergency Brake Boot and Shift Boot

Emergency brake boot no problem, Shifter boot big problem. The rubber boot supplied with the kit, when positioned over the hole in the carpet, caused the transmission to pop out of gear in first and third gears. Not a good option. A quick design session, some left over vinyl a mother who can operate a sewing machine and a new boot is made on the fly. Looks great and the car stays in gear.
